First American's courses were designed with simplicity and compatibility in mind. If you have updated your browser in the past 4 years you should not experience any problems. We recommend Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Mozilla's Firefox browser because both of these browsers are free, both have been successfully tested, and both are expected to be the prevailing browsers in the foreseeable future.
But older browsers from Netscape, and less commonly used browsers like Safari and Opera should work as well because we have developed our courses to meet their specifications.
In Windows you can determine your browser version by opening the browser then selecting the Help | About... menu option. If you need additional information or help updating your browser please refer to the following chart.

You don't need to enable javascript...
If you, or your network administrator, has disabled javascript on your browser, don't worry! Our courses should still work. Commercial Institute only uses javascript sparingly to enhance certain aspects of navigating our web site and courses. But, this material is made available apart from our courses and is not required to receive state continuing education credit.
